Ladies, Gentlemen, receive a cordial greeting of all the friends from Spain, and in particular of the Association ADA Roerich.
I feel very happy at being again in Moscow. And I feel even happier at being able to be with you.
Thank you also to the President Mr. V. Morgatchev and to the Vice-president Mrs. Ludmila Shaposhnikova, and to all those that make possible that the ICR (International Center-Museum of the Roerich) International Center-museum of the Roerich stays as beautiful as always.
The inheritance of the Family Roerich is an inheritance for the whole humanity, but this should be protected in each country and very especially, here in Russia. Everywhere, we find destructive actions generated by the human. The selfishness, the limitless ambition and the desire of power are taking to the Planet to the chaos. The Nature also is degenerating to enlarged steps and the human being too, in its madness and desire of obtaining the maximum benefit in the minimum possible time. This is what makes sick and self-destroys. And without almost realizing also destroys itself. In his ignorance and absurd behaviour annuls the life and transforms his environment into something insane. What unchains frustration and despair. This way, the human being is limiting himself constantly. And to dissolve this ignorance, these limitations and these feeble attitudes, anything better than the Philosophy of the Roerich's Family. A Philosophy that dissolves all the limitations, all our obsessions and feeble thoughts… An excellent and affordable Philosophy. A "way of the middle", far from the couples of opposites, where the authentic essence of the way is shown as courtesy, justice, love, loyalty and beauty. This energy must guide the human activity. This wisdom will guide all the human relationships. The challenge is there. A fair consumption, a more human and more spiritual economy. A bigger tolerance, respect and compassionate love with the partner, as well as with our neighbours. And do they know where is that whole energy that must inspire us and guide us for the "way of the middle"? Here!, Ladies and Gentlemen, Here!
The painting made by Nicholas and Svetoslav; and the books written by Helena, Nicholas and Yuri, have a big inspiration source, and not only that, but they are a source of value, radiant health and constant improvement, what produce a great solidity of the conscience.
Nicholas and Svetoslav's paintings project the authentic ideals that go from the understanding of the necessity of an understanding among the human beings to the necessity of beautifying the world.
The "Roerich Art" provides the observer a path of self-discovery and invites him to extend a bridge between the human Nature and the "sacred Nature". It has been said that there is a lost link. That lost link has already been signalled traditionally by the religions… but I don't want to go so far. What I mean is that to solve the problems that generate the modern societies, we need to be related with somebody that knows more than us. The presence of the parents, friends or the psychological help is no longer enough. We need a relationship of type Supra-conscience. And today in my opinion, that lost link is the life and work of Helena and Nicholas Roerich, I mean, the life and work of all family. Their paintings, their poetry, their beauty, their teachings active in us the supra-mental side, open the heart and fills with joyful expectations. They are an inexhaustible source of well-being, force and temper.
I feel a great Gratitude for the Roerich Family. The psychological and spiritual Potential that emanates from the Roerich source, is good to complete our formation like people in this world in which we have to live. They are a genuine strength, based in the Living Ethics. I give thanks to the Roerich Family, because they have taught me all this. In fact, I have learned that if the civilization persists in its selfishness and disregard - this could arrive to a dead point. The violence, the terror and the aggressions of all type can destroy our Ethical and Spiritual potential. When I say Spiritual, I refer to the man's authentic part. The current materialism is the battle field where we must harden ourselves, because we cannot conquer the superior worlds, if before we have not known how to conquer the world that have, the material.
All together should cure the wounds that the humanity suffers. It's necessary the collective healing of the whole society, in the whole Planet. And that healing has to begin with ourselves, in our group or collective. To put this into practice we need the knowledge of the Roerich's Philosophy. Beautiful spaces as this, the International Center-museum of the Roerich, will make possible the balance that we need. But to get this we have to walk all together, united by the heart and the mind. Without divisions! And this calls Gratitude!
The Gratitude is sister of the Loyalty. The Gratitude is the same life. Anyone who reaches to irradiate " Gratitude " permanently, they will not be strange.
